Web-Services

Web services can be tested directly on a website. Test out our web services, carry out an initial analysis and then, if you want to develop an innovation project: Get in touch.

Circular Readiness Level (CRL®)

The CRL® tests the extent to which principles and strategies from the circular economy (e.g. reuse, refurbishment or recycling) are put into practice in a product. Fraunhofer CCPE has developed an online tool that you can use to check the CRL® of products and product systems for yourself.

Environmental auditing of buildings with Generis®

The web application Generis® can create intuitive and standardized environmental audits for buildings. In Generis®, users can draw on an extensive catalog of materials and constructions and create (partially) automated models.

REff Tool® – Resource efficiency on logistics sites

With the REff Tool®, businesses can create transparency for their customers who want to use green logistics services. Businesses can use the application to calculate their annual CO2 footprints for individual sites and produce key figures for average emissions per shipment.

Process optimization

The multi-property life cycle analysis optimizes and evaluates processes and systems according to sustainability, product design and process-efficiency criteria.

Techno-Consulting

System analysis, life cycle assessment, supply chain/data management, process development, circular product design: These are just some of the services provided by Fraunhofer institutes individually or in cooperation with each other to keep innovation projects on track and successful. We would be delighted to talk more about this with you.

Resource management and global supply chains

With resource management in the circular economy, we make linear value chains into sovereign value cycles. Our strength is studies of feasibility and potential, which we combine with strategic consultancy. We use global commodity models with regard to environmental impacts or criticality aspects.

Green logistics

Green logistics refers to environmental compatibility and resource efficiency along the entire logistics chain (transport, intralogistics and logistics real estate). The analysis of environmental impacts, cost drivers and reduction potentials forms the basis for environmentally friendly concepts for the optimization of logistics services, distribution systems and the associated marketing and management.

Analysis and evaluation of systems, processes, technologies

We analyze and evaluate technologies and systems in terms of their technical, economic and ecological effects. We focus on technological trends, cost trends, competitiveness and regulatory frameworks and observe macroeconomic effects, from raw materials, components, plants and processes to the circular economy and waste management.

Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment

Social Life Cycle Assessment

More responsibility in supply chains means knowing and improving social impacts through the use of resources and production along the entire value chain. We support this approach using modern tools.

Circular design and participation processes

We make use of new development and design methods for products that apply circular principles to the materials and products from the very beginning. In doing so, we involve users, members of the public and stakeholders as strong partners in dealing with change processes.

Circular business models

We support forward-looking businesses and institutions in their transformation from linear to circular business models to make use of the potential of sovereign value cycles. Cost-benefit analyses and macroeconomic models are among the tools used.

Material recycling

Industrialized societies have resource-intensive lifestyles. We develop new raw materials and recover materials from products, buildings and infrastructure. Building materials, plastics and metals are the priorities.

Chemical recycling

Composite materials with various different components and highly contaminated waste are difficult or impossible to recycle as materials (e.g. fiber-reinforced plastics, electronic waste, sorting residues, road surface material containing tar). We take these and extract molecules for creating and supplying (intermediate) products.

Process development for climate protection and circular economy

We develop technical processes with which non-renewable and renewable resources are converted into products according to principles of circular economy – controlled and quality-assured.
